Delegation from Aga Khan Council for Bangladesh met the Foreign Minister

A 3-member delegation from Aga Khan Council for Bangladesh headed by Mr. Altaf Ramzi, Vice President of the Council met the Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali, MP at the latter’s office today. During the meeting, Mr. Ramzi handed over a personal letter of felicitations from His Highness Prince Aga Khan addressed to the Foreign Minister for assuming the charge of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs following the National Parliamentary elections in January 2014.

Foreign Minister conveyed his gratitude for the letter and assured the delegation of Aga Khan Council for Bangladesh of all possible cooperation to implement the provisions of the Protocol of Cooperation signed between the Government of Bangladesh and the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) in September 2013. The other members of the Council present during the meeting were Mr. Hussein Hyderali and Mr. Al Moeiz Laiwala. It may be mentioned that the Aga Khan School – one of the most performing and prestigious schools of the country – is celebrating its 25th year of operation in Bangladesh this year. Besides that, Aga Khan Foundation has been engaged in many socio-economic projects and ventures in the country.

His Highness Prince Aga Khan has lately designated a Resident Representative of AKDN in Bangladesh with a view to enhancing the activities of the non-profit entity.
