Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre (IGCC) in association with Asian Paints, IRCON and Marico Bangladesh organised a musical evening by popular singer of Bangladesh, Mr. Moidul Islam Khan Shuvo at 6:30 PM on January 17, 2015 at the IGCC, House No. 35, Road No. 24, Gulshan-1.

Born in 1982, Mr. Moidul Islam Khan Shuvo is a popular recording artist, song writer and vocalist from Bangladesh known as “Drockstar Shuvo”. His musical journey begun with the band Metal Maze, a promising underground band of the late 90’s. Later he formed a new band named “Roots” which won the award of “Best Band” in “Benson & Hedges Star Search” in 2003. In 2006, he stood out to be the 1st of “D Rock star 06″ sponsored by Djuice, a youth brand of Grameenphone Limited. He was the Brand Ambassador of Djuice from March 2006 to April 2007. Presently he is a band member of “Fuad and Friends”.

Mr. Shuvo has released several solo and mixed albums like “Shuvo’s Rockers Inc.” in 2008, “Bappa with Rockers” in 2009, “Onek Kichu” in 2011. He has recently released a solo album “Onek Shwapno” in 2014. He has gained immense popularity by his songs like “Nitol Paye”, “Amar Shona Bondhu”, “Dake Shopno” , “Kromannoy” among others.

Mr. Shuvo has extensively travelled abroad for musical performances in different countries such as the USA, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, etc. He achieved “1st South Asian Superstar Award” organized by TV SOUTH ASIA which was held in New Delhi in 2008.
