IUBAT accorded reception to visiting Malaysian academics


Malaysian higher education system is excellently   blended incorporating Islamic values with advanced knowledge and technology: Prof Dato’ Dr Asma Ismail, Vice Chancellor of USIM viewe. Prof Dato’ Dr Asma Ismail,  Vice Chancellor Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) viewed that the  core  academic objectives of her university is based on imparting quality education emphasizing on research, but the  focal point of all academic operation   is to produce graduates having  balanced  thought. Thus the main focus of higher education in his country has been integrated adding Islamic values with contemporary changes in advanced knowledge and technology across the world.

International University of Business Agriculture and Technology accorded Reception to a group of visiting Malaysian delegations from the “Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM)” on Tuesday, April 08 at IUBAT Conference Room.

IUBAT and USIM, exchanged the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed earlier which contain among other things exchange of   students for at least two weeks in two universities for quality development.

Organized by International Program, the program was Presided over by Prof. Dr. MAlimullah Miyan, Founder and Vice Chancellor, Chairs, Directors, Coordinators, Faculties of different colleges and departments   and members of officers and staff attended the program. Retd lieutenant M Ibn Mujib, Assistant Registrar, International Program, moderated the program.

Mr Tanvir H DeWan, Director, International Programs, and Director, College of Business Administration introducing the members of the academic delegation lauded their role in his welcome speech. He also focused on the leading role of IUBAT in country’s private sector led higher education.

Speaking on the occasion Prof Dato’ Dr Asma Ismail, Vice Chancellor (Academic & International Affairs), of Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) highlighted the overall academic policies. She said the academic operation is based on ‘Naqli’ (Revealed) and ‘Aqli’ (Human) with a view to creating high quality  graduates with balanced knowledge both in Islamic thought properly blended with modern technology and innovation.

Prof Dato’ Dr Musa Ahmad, Deputy Vice Chancellor, (Academic & International Affairs), Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) who earlier visited   in 2011, speaking on the occasion  lauded IUBAT for its leading role in higher education in private sector.

Prof. Dr. Roshada Hashim, Director of The International Relations Office of Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), Zainur Rijal Abd Razak – Deputy Dean of Centre for Graduate Studies, USIM, Deputy Dean of Centre for Graduate Studies and Computational Linguistics Linguistic Structures, Dr. Najwa Hayaati Mohd Alwi – Coordinator of E-Learning Centre, USIM, Coordinator of Global Open Access Learning Centre  are also included in the  visiting academic delegation.

Prof. Dr. M Alimullah Miyan in his concluding speech thanked the members of the Malaysian delegation and highlighted the mission and vision of IUBAT for human resource development. He said the poor people can’t dream as such higher education has to be linked to make it more relevant to society. This will widen the access of higher education to students belonging to lower strata of the society. Education must be the criteria to remove inequality to establish equality through education to facilitate A socio-economic transformation in the society, he maintained.
